It is with great pleasure that Banka & Company announces it will merge with NUMIS CPAs Inc. They share a strong passion for helping taxpayers and specialize in small and growing businesses, personal taxes and advanced tax planning. They also have the ability to provide US personal and corporate tax compliance and planning. Banka & Company will officially merge with NUMIS CPAs Inc. on August 1, 2024.
Who is NUMIS CPAs?
NUMIS CPAs is an accounting firm with offices in Vancouver, Vancouver Island, West Kelowna, Airdrie Alberta, and now Kelowna. Jack Cartmel, CPA, CA is the managing partner of the firm.
What was the motivation for this?
The significant advantage to this merger is the capacity for expanded services for existing clients, as well as the ability to take on new clients. Additionally, new value-added services such as cross border tax services, fractional CFO services and other advanced tax planning services are immediately available.
As most of you are aware, I am nearing retirement and this merger provides me with comfort that my clients will be well taken care of once I decide to stop working. Since COVID and downsizing of my practice, I have found it concerning that I could not provide a full range of services as I have in the past and that I had to turn away clients because I was at capacity.
Who will be serving my account?
As I was operating as a lone star, I am now happy to have the support of the team of the West Kelowna office as well as the other NUMIS offices in British Columbia and Alberta. The team will provide accounting, bookkeeping as well as personal and corporate tax services. I will continue to provide services at a more senior level by way of review and other accounting services as required by the group.
What will happen to my fees?
The NUMIS team will continue to provide the same services you’ve come to enjoy and appreciate but also have the ability to provide so much more. Current engagements will not see any changes to their fee structures (except for the standard inflationary increase and NUMIS standard 10% admin fee) and the NUMIS team will do their best to provide similar transition pricing.
Where will I send my information?
You will now have 2 drop off points. One at 1370 Springfield Kelowna (around the back) (250-763-4528) and the other at 217-3011 Louie Drive West Kelowna (250-768-0644). The electronic upload through ecourier remains available. For any general inquiries, please call or email admin@numiscpa.com.
